Supporting students
The Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering (IPHE) has introduced the Student Study Section to the Technical Talk area of the website www.iphe.org.uk.
The new section contains pdf documents on; general plumbing knowledge, health and safety guidelines, the Water Regulations, domestic central heating controls, electrical safety, high efficiency boilers, sustainable drainage systems and thermostatic mixing valves.
Dale Courtman, Technical Director of the Institute explained, “Many colleges and students use the IPHE website to find information as part of their syllabus and associated studies. It is intended for this new section of the website to further enhance the student’s study potential, by including useful information that would in the past have been considered invaluable information for a student’s hand book. This page will be regularly updated and will eventually contain drawings, tables, equations and simple calculation examples from all areas of our industry, including hot and cold water, drainage, heating and gas.”
