December 2004

Winter Wonder Web

T’was the first week of January and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The boiler stopped humming, a chill hit the air,
And those in the house were left in the cold to despair.
Oh where is the plumber’ the parents both cried,
As the children under duvets from the cold tried to hide.
I have the answer said dad with a shout,
I know of a website where a plumber we’ll find out.
And so to the computer dear dad flew,
As he typed in www he knew what to do.
He typed in the letters iphe, then org, then uk,
Then added his postcode and he was away.
A list of fine plumbers appeared on the screen,
Each with qualifications, experience and professionally keen.
The kids were all laughing, a smile hit mum’s face,
Along came the plumber to give warmth to the place.
