IoP giving members more

The Institute of Plumbing is giving its members access to online technical articles through its website www.plumbers.org.uk. Those visiting the Members Only Area can now view the Technical Archive to download articles covering a range of information from pressure testing to heating controls. The articles, first published in Plumbing & Heating Engineering magazine, have been selected for excellent technical content.

In a recent survey of Trainee members an overwhelming number asked for access to online technical articles to help further their studies. A number of full members have also suggested an area where they can access technical information. Dale Courtman, Technical Director commented, "There is a real thirst for knowledge among IoP members. The Institute has responded by adding the Technical Archive section to its website. Although the Technical Archive is in its fledgling stages it is envisaged it will grow considerably to be an important tool for members through all stages of their career".

The Institute has also expanded its range of technical information with the introduction of DataByte technical notes (available in the Technical Talk section of the main website). Members can also download Dataflow sheets from the Member's Only Area. For more information please visit www.plumbers.org.uk.
